It is regaining your destiny and not allowing others to treat you in a way that reduces your self esteem. The important thing about being assertive is that it is not just about getting your own way. It is about having respect for yourselves while respecting other people too. The aim of assertive behaviours is to end up with a win-win situation. We will consider how to be assertive while still respecting the other person and how we can use our new found assertion to create win-win situations. We will consider different techniques on being assertive and develop an greater understanding about the benefits of using these techniques to re-build confidence and self esteem at work and in your private life
